OUR SCHOOL

We are in a purpose-built hall which is well-lit and bright. Having sole use of this building  means that we can have permanent displays of the children’s art and do not have to pack away for other users. The open classroom has a Book Corner, Home Corner and Construction area but these are flexible and can be changed around to suit the children. Tables and chairs are not fixed and can be moved for dancing, games, music or an impromptu puppet show.  The large garden is in two parts: There is a covered area for rainy-day play, two play houses, a willow tunnel, sensory path, flower beds and a large sand pit. Children are encouraged to mark-make with chalks on the paving stones, sweep up leaves or wash the dolls’ clothes and hang them on the line. There is a large wooden table and benches for the children's packed lunches in fine weather. We also use the garden for outdoor sports sessions, music and our Summer Picnic.
